Well, it often starts quite well

but then - I can't think why really - it seems to turn out that giving all the money and power to a small number of clever, well meaning folk so that they can sort out everything fairly for (the stupid & flawed) everyone else, goes a bit wrong. But you know, every few years, we go again.
