Not worse but it's way more annoying

I would have all clubs fan-owned by law to keep them more rooted in their communities but there you go. The pretence of being underdogs while being armed with huge amounts of cash has always been fundamental to the Wrexham project - as a friend said, it's the equivalent of cheating at Football Manager. (And that's even before you get onto the government grants, or the investment from a hedge fund set up by an association of Epstein ...)
