to be able to see the entire planet you would need to be 22,236 miles above the earth

(obviously you wouldn't be able to see the entire planet but to see it as a complete disc) that's how high you would need to go up. to put that into context you’d need roughly 20.7 million nigel farage's standing on each other’s heads to reach 22,236 miles into space and only around 6.5 million giraffes. only 24 human beings have ever actually seen the entire globe.

the view from the international space station is only a short part of the earth's curve as that's only a piffling 249 miles above the earth which is the distance as the pelican flys from norwich to dumfries.
