The problem though is that when a CEO gets involved

it sets a precedent that escalates and you end up with tit for tat and it all getting out of hand. You said it yourself, it was their CEO singing it. I agree about the Nunez chant, said it at the time. However, I think he’s either not too bright or badly advised (possibly both). Many players have gone between the two clubs and all each club has to do is play it down. Nunez could’ve issued one of those PR letters saying he’s enjoyed his time etc etc but instead he’s absolutely incited the hate himself. I think Ashton has probably encouraged it in his quest to be the fans hero. Some of the crap Nunez has been saying and doing was only going to end up as it has. Trouble for him is that he couldn’t handle it when he came to CR and according to an ipswich mate, he’s been s**t ever since.
