The Academy realties....

If you can bring through one player per season to the first team that is probably considered a success for a club of our structure.
Are you better off paying a nominal fee for a promising youngster. Thats the tricky world we live in.

It only takes one player to make it through the academy and we sell on for a huge fee to pay for itself many times over. (lots of upside little downside)
Its a risk reward scenario plus a back up plan if it all goes tits up and we head to LG1 and need a fire sale.
