I wouldn’t say *bad*, just not as effective (for whatever reason)

Sometimes it just didn’t seem to click, maybe down to opposition teams playing deeper and more defensively. When teams tried to attack us, like Coventry, we usually had their measure. Ipswich basically parked the bus after their early lucky break and despite the possession we couldn’t get through. See also: Southampton away. No coincidence that both those teams have recent Premier League experience.
