also, he has repeatedly criticised VAR decisions when they’ve gone against his teams.

For example, after an Old Firm defeat, he complained a “clear handball… penalty” wasn’t given via VAR.

In another case, he pointed out inconsistency, saying VAR thought it was a penalty but the referee didn’t agree, again highlighting confusion rather than support.

Across matches (cup finals, European games, league fixtures), he’s been openly frustrated with how VAR is applied, especially around penalties and big decisions (The Times).

Clement isn’t known as a major pro-VAR figure. He’s more of a pragmatic, sometimes frustrated user of it, which is pretty standard among top-level managers.

please don't make Phillipe Clement out to be a rabid VAR evangelist just to support your dumb blind and blinkered advocacy of it.
