Exercise more. Basically try and get out of breath every day - walk up stairs, go for a run, swim, bike ride etc.
I was sedentary my whole adult life and peaked at 13 stone (I'm 172cm) and had all the same aches and pains you mentioned. My wife did a triathlon and I signed up for the same race the following year. Eight years later and getting into endurance sport was the best thing I ever did. At nearly 59 I could outrun my 20yo self and feel really good.
Sorry if this sounds boastful, but you did ask if there was a cure...
