The more penalty shootouts England lose the more the negative vibes associated with them, the less confident the players are, the more they miss, the more shootouts we lose, the bigger the negative vibe etc etc

Why should the German players be scared when they step up. Germany haven't lost a shootout since 1976 (and none in the World Cup), and none of them can remember that. So no negative vibes, no fear.

Fear is death in a penalty shootout. We ooze it from every pore.
