I hate to sound pessimistic but I think the system is too far ingrained...

We can all act shocked that the US is bombing Iran yet when countries start running out of oil.....It will be....Fuck Iran....

The systems we have created is bigger than any ethical niceties.

If its "us" or them......Its always "us" when it comes down to it.

In the west we live in incredible modern societies.
Its the classic saying.....

We want to eat the steaks but don't want to know how the cows are slaughtered.
