Even by his sloppy standards, no signings by early July is pretty bad. Judging by some of the bids it looks as thought there isn't much money for transfers. All this on the back of a transfer surplus over the past two seasons, a near season ticket sell out and the parachute payments. I think that somewhere along the line we have lost the prudence along with the long departed ambition.
