Either replace qualifiers with the nations league entirely, or remove nations league influence from qualifying. One or the other IMO.

It’s just a mess that Sweden finish bottom without 2 points and get in the playoffs while Slovenia in third do not.

It also means that once a team in that position mathematically gets ruled out for winning the group / automatic qualification, their remaining results don’t matter other than for FIFA ranking and so they can field weakened squads affecting other critical results.
