Yes that's what I said earlier.

The referee doesn’t decide whether the ball has crossed the line by looking at the low-resolution animation shown on TV. They receive an instant signal on their watch, based on analysis of real-world data from multiple high-speed cameras.

The only point I was trying to make, and I’m starting to wish I hadn’t, is that these images and animations are as you put it ‘simulations’. They’re there to illustrate the outcome, not to be treated as evidence in their own right. They simply show that a player was offside or the ball crossed the line, and aren’t meant to be picked apart in detail.
