Nothing to do with last night…

… but the number of times a good save is followed very shortly after by a goal surely demands some analysis. Frequent scenarios, such as a shot being turned away for a corner, then a goal from the subsequent corner, happen so often it can’t be *just* coincidence. It can also work positively, eg. a save and then the keeper’s team go straight up the other end and score. Last night, good save, disallowed goal (correctly), ball comes straight back and goal.

What causes this?
