Already we have a very limited pool of genuinely top class players to choose from compared to France, Spain etc, and it will only get worse as the foreign influence on the Premiership continues to grow.

Unless there is a reversal in this trend then England will eventually become bracketed with teams like Sweden, Republic of Ireland and Turkey.
