I did overtime at Paddington and Coningsby around 2008

Bit of an eye opener after coming from a yank base.
RAF boys at the Fire section called us the "Creeping Black Death" as MOD firefighters we wore black tunics initially and earned a fortune compared to them.
They all became friendly though once they were close to leaving.
