Playing first team football at 16 and 17 is still very rare tbf

and there aren't that many 18/19 year olds playing in the Champ. We've played Schwartau and Wright at 18/19 regularly, and Mahovo and McConville were a similar age when playing.

EMS is 19.

Tavares played first team in pre-season at 15.

It's probably just that our home-grown youngsters generally aren't good enough.
