Bought a copy for a PNE supporting mate

On the way to Carrow Road on Saturday. Look forward to his view - retired English teacher with no affinity to Norwich but loves footie based literature.

I enjoyed it but felt it lacked a bit of depth - the relationship never really got going and an opportunity ( given how promising the premise is) was missed.

But I know many have raved about it, so I’d be genuinely pleased if others on here think more favourably.

( reading this back I sound a bit pompous but I’ll put my tin hat on and post anyway!).
