I fail to get the gripes re Ali’s performances of late.

I thought he offers a really strong connection with Paris and Chrisene, and with Slimane when he plays, and at the game yesterday I thought that he contributed well. So it was a surprise to get home and read the comments on here during the game. A lot seems to hinge on his supposed reluctance to go on the outside, yet he’s a right footed player who is expected to cut in. He gets involved a lot and is never shy about taking possession under pressure. Personally I think he brings a lot and has made a real difference since he signed in January.
