in other, not quite so good news...

it seems iran launched three missiles today at shimon peres negev nuclear research center in dimona israel. two of which got through and caused damage. the reactor itself doesn't appear to have been targeted.

this follows on from a botched us special forces op yesterday at a different nuclear facility, possibly natanz or fordow which is buried deep inside a mountain. it would be quite a surprise tbh as the most effective attack on iranian nuclear facilities has been by the israeli/us stuxnet cyber attack which was quite a brilliant bit of work tbf.

really interesting tactics from iran playing out here. by attacking their neighbours it seems to have bought them to the negotiating table with iran. the rationale of these negotiations seems to be based upon stopping these attacks by iran in return for the us troops to be booted from their bases. be interesting if they do take the bait.
