I had a smart meter fitted a few weeks ago. Was very reluctant but they kept telling me I had to.

The guy who fitted it said it is because the companies get paid £600 per meter and meter companies who fitted get £200 of that £600.

He said he refuses to have one and it's not compulsory. He said they have lots of issues with the new meters. He had been back to one 10 times.
