apparently yes it did..

"During an amateur football match in Istanbul, a low-flying seagull was accidentally struck by a clearance kick and fell motionless to the ground. The team captain, Gani Catan of Istanbul Yurdum Spor, rushed over and performed rudimentary CPR and chest compressions on the bird. According to multiple news reports, the seagull began to breathe and show movement again after the intervention and was then taken off the pitch by medical staff for further care. It was reported to have a damaged wing and is expected to recover, though it won’t be flying right away soon."

cpr (the chest compression part) is actually not recommended for birds (like the seagull) as they have no diaphragm like humans and their lungs are small and rigid, connected to air sacs and their chest shape is narrow and rigid (keel bone) and their heart sits differently in the chest

human-style chest compressions don’t work well and can easily cause fatal injuries in birds.

they do sometimes work in smaller animals however (dogs, cats, etc.)

i guess the seagull was just stunned and the chest compressions just helped bring it around?
