to book someone for diving you have to be very sure they dived - ballack may well have got

whacked from the referees position but it was no foul...

the argy blatently dived with no contact at all so the ref booked him.

its tough for the refs - but he did a good job today, and nipped timewasting and feigning injury in the bud for the match - otherwise you would have seeen the argies doing it every 2 minutes like normal.
