And he wasn't hinting at anything. He is pretty direct in his communication. The comment wasn't only about Maghoma, but others including Ali Ahmed who also caught the flick fart fanny bug in the first half.

I hope he doesn't kill it entirely. It's always a crowd pleaser when it comes off. However, I am quite sure that he has watched the games we played before he arrived and seen how many times we conceded a goal or a clear chance from losing the ball overplaying it. When you're struggling near the bottom and need to fight for points, you have to have more awareness than to take those risks in midfield. Marcondes has done it many many times, and hurt us much more than he has succeeded (some fans were however won over by the rare successful back heel which of course looked great).

In a different way, Topic also did it several times (receive ball, spin blindly and charge upfield), as did others including Kenny. I am sure that Clement had a quiet word with him after that incredible bit of fannying in front of our penalty area that let to the goal a couple of games ago.

Having said all that, we've only just signed Maghoma. I am pretty sure we knew that was part of his game and so we clearly want some of it. Just want to coach him on when it is appropriate and when it is not.
