As per the other week when my lad insisted we get to Carrow rd to see the Cov game this Saturday I wasn't *that* keen on going to the game. My lad was due to play at 2.15pm and I felt I could watch the Norwich game on a TV/Phone and watch him straight after. After careful consideration I chose to head to CR as I knew I'd get to bump into my good mates I sit next to and I've watched my boy play tonnes this season.
In a last minute twist my Lads game was postponed so he got changed and we heading into Norwich getting dropped off at the top of City road at about noon. This is significant because as soon as we jumped out of the car I bumped into a couple of good friends from the 90s I hadn't seen for a while so we all had a good catch-up on the way down Southgate lane.
As I trundled into the Snakepit concourse I then met up with a another friend I haven't seen for a while before we headed out to take our seat (standing position) It was a good 5 minutes into the game before my BF got into the ground but it was really good to see him as he missed the Cov game. In and around us there was some decent banter and lots of laughs, especially towards the end of the game. Me and the lad hung around until the lap of honour was complete and we walked out of the ground singing Clements at the wheel. After a brief chat with an old school friend we headed to my Mum and Dads house for a Greggs sausage roll and a cheese toastie. My wife came to give us a lift home and we all travelled home in good spirits.
I mean well done if you've managed to read all that. The words aren't important but the meaning behind it is. Football is more that watching your team win or lose. Of course its much more enjoyable when NCFC win but I know tonnes of people who love the all round experience of chatting to pals and having a pint etc etc. Football is about community and I include this board in that. I know we're sometimes a bunch of ideots but its been great ton see some old skool Wrathers on here recently.
Keep up the good work lads
apologies for and typos etc, I can't be arsed to read it back as there are too many words.
