We might actually boycott them better by buying American brands which have most

of their components made in Asia.

This is a guess. I don’t know. But it’s certainly possible. The hardware always leads you back to the software.

Hardware is a one off payment with a fairly small profit margin. The software is increasingly subscription model and that’s where the money is. Mostly American. And if it’s not it’s running on American virtual hosting.
