Indeed but at some point we do need to move on and if he is not intending to

retire when his Norwich career ends, then I would say the club should reward his loyalty and allow him to make that one last move while he still possibly can (at age 34).

If he's happy to just hang up his boots post Norwich, which wouldn't completely surprise me, then yes take the option.
