Davies closing in on first Rams deals

Derby County boss Billy Davies has admitted he is closing in his first signings as Rams boss, but has refused to elaborate on who they might be.
Davies has yet to recruit a player since joining the club from Preston North End, and fans are becoming impatient at the lack of new faces at Pride Park.

However, Davies has insisted to the Derby Evening Telegraph that he is close to bringing players in:
"All I can say at the moment is that signings are imminent. There is money to spend, I've got my own list of players that I'm interested in and we should start to see some movement soon.

"There are negotiations taking place. As we all know, these things can take time, but signings are close."
