It’s always “chemistry”

Sometimes the key individuals respond positively to a certain style and negatively to others. Some need an arm around them, some need a rocket up their arse and some somewhere in between. Not all members of a squad will suit the same style of manager, so it becomes “chemistry” when a manager has the right traits and personality to positively influence the players who are most key.

And also, extrapolating that, if they can positively influence the players who are able to positively influence the rest of the squad then you’re on to a winner.

And of course all the above can happen in reverse. So the same person could be the worse manager ever or the best depending on their situation. Lambert a great example. It’s a team game.
