I like that, I think I might have a go at being portuguese.

they are being patriotic, probably incresed by the sense of distance from 'home' and if all the local are as welcoming as you I'm not surprised.

and
A Cloggy all dressed up like a big neon orange

Thats with out paying too much attention and in town you could probably tick off every nation playing in the finals especially on a match day....having said that the swiss also complain about the foreign types coming and nicking their jobs
