It is all very confusing

Because both the people asking the questions and the people answering them are incompetent!

The phantom match - the big point is that it’s terrible that they included something untrue as part of their reasoning. It doesn’t matter a hoot whether they included it because they’re s**t at Google it because they relied on AI. I suppose it matters a bit that they assured MPs they hadn’t used AI when they had.

The concealed stuff - well there’s lots coming out in dribs and drabs, but for me the most important thing is that on 6 January the deputy admitted that part of their rationale was that they knew local Islamists were arming up to attack them. When asked why the flying f**k they hadn’t told MPs that before, he said “well you didn’t ask”.
