They did want to sell him in the summer to a place he didn't want to go.
Obviously, that was set up without his initial consultation.

The club can't take the high moral ground and say we want him to stay when they had clearly been open to selling him in the summer.

Sarge took a chance staying here for WC year but it just didn't work out how everyone thought it would.

Yes, he has a contract and should honor it.
