Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

If he had come out and said he had a minor injury and then Sargent's agent or Sargent himself came out publicly with information to the contrary, people would be up in arms about the club covering up the situation.

Sargent made himself unavailable. If he didn't want to be made to look bad in doing then, well then he shouldn't have made himself unavailable.
