he manages expectations straight off the bat by telling the reporters he will only be spending a short time on the topic. he then explains the facts about sargent's absence and the reason behind it.
he states firmly that sargent won't be leaving and that the club would take time this week to decide what to do about the situation (i.e. we are in control of this, not the player or his agent). he then cuts further questions off by putting them in their place by calling them all "boys" and then switches it up straight away to zone in on the team and the performance.
