(And louche seems to be the word of the day.)
One thing I would say no-one's mentioned is the relationship between McCullum and the media has grown increasingly tetchy over the last year or two. He was their darling at first, then he asked them to stop using the term Bazball (in which I am 100% in agreement with him), they didn't (it was their creation, they were very pleased with themselves about it), his interviews became rarer and shorter, so they stopped liking him. And from his perspective, he only sees criticism based around a perception of him, so he treats them as he sees fit. The comments he's made are exactly the kind of thing you might say to someone you don't want to talk to and don't respect.
Just trying to see it from all sides; I still think the most important metric from this all is the match stats and relative difference from 4 years ago.
