i was going to do phil boyer on the canadian XI thread but thought it was a bit esoteric

it would have been Phil Assiniboia. Assiniboia being a town in south-central Saskatchewan, Canada named after the Assiniboine First Nation people and also a reference to the legendary Assiniboia Inn Hotel in Medicine Hat, Alberta. otherwise known as the notorious "Sin-Bin" frequented by thousands of british squaddies down the ages during armoured exercises on the canadian prairies.
