My brother - a West Ham fan - wrote to Harry Redknapp in 1996, then manager of West Ham. He asked for his autograph and, in the letter, said that he should sign Mark Bowen from Norwich because I said he was good. Redknapp replied to the letter with an autographed photo and then signed Mark Bowen. I still haven't forgiven him.

(Yes, I know that we released Bowen to pay off debts and because he'd fallen out with Gary Megson but it's easier to blame my brother).
