But based on the games of theirs I have seen, I think they have focused on being very physically dominant. Whenever I watch them play, they seem to just run over their opposition, quite literally. Incredible intensity of press, tight marking, getting stuck in, tactical fouls, height, strength and pace….all of that, done incredibly well with terrific organisation. I think they’ve brought in players that are off the charts in those dimensions, and haven’t worried too much about trying to keep possession, have loads of quality on the ball. Sure, they have some of that, but not much. They make goals from set pieces and forcing mistakes in dangerous areas with their insane press.

It’s proving very very effective, as teams are struggling to score against them, and then getting harassed into too many mistakes.
