Loftus Road and the two other clubs in the area have long had pitch problems

All were quagmires in the 70s, hence the QPR plastic pitch which was much better than some would have you believe, particularly when well sanded. I lived in the area and saw Norwich play on it a couple of times, if you passed the ball on the ground it ran true and encouraged attractive football. The bounce was consistent anywhere on the pitch.
