Norwich City commercial director Sam Jeffery has left the club and is being touted with a new role at Championship rivals West Brom.
Jeffery spent eight-and-a-half years with the Canaries on their commercial side, and in recent seasons was also part of the executive committee, but his last official day was Monday’s Championship defeat against Watford.
City plan an internal replacement, although Jeffery’s successor is not believed to be part of the executive committee that at present includes executive director Zoe Webber, sporting director Ben Knapper, and assistant Neil Adams, plus finance director Anthony Richens and James Hill (legal and governance director).
Jeffery was believed to be keen to explore other opportunities in the game after his spell as City’s commercial figurehead since July 2021, with responsibility for all revenue generating areas of the club and Carrow Road.
That included shirt sponsorship deals and helping forge international strategic partnerships with Las Palmas and Indian side Chennaiyin FC.
He previously worked as a commercial manager for hometown team, Cambridge United, before joining Norwich in 2017 to head up their partnerships team.
