Is there pressure?

Either Barcelona is a great opportunity for him or he can stay here and continue his development. In general I agree that there’s a lot of pressure on kids his age trying to make it, but he seems to be one of the fortunate ones that is actually being given a real chance to make it. It’s the ones that get kicked out of academies aged 16 / 17 who’ve worked just as hard to no avail that I really feel for.

I think it’s a shame that Barcelona can sign him at all. But that’s modern football. Is he a local lad, or did we pick him up from somewhere on the other side of the country / from a smaller club’s academy? If the latter, I guess we can’t really complain
