He's not going to slag it off, but there are ways of making your point

"I will be looking at the system and making changes where I see fit, with the support of the manager..."

"It's a great setup, but I want to bring my own approach to the job..."

"I have my own ideas about training systems and I will be looking to introduce those in consultation with the manager..."

My point is, having "sacked" the previous coach for alleged poor performance, why isn't this bloke saying he's going to make changes?
