I was listening to Athers, he was on the original ICC committee where the concept...

was first discussed. It was only meant to be for countries and Test's where difficult to get local people to watch, i.e it works in the Windies as it's warm long in to the night and people can finish work at 5 and get to see a session of Test cricket and pack the ground out for an affordable price.

Athers goes on to say it wasn't ever meant to be for sold out venues as that makes it rather pointless. I like Mike Atherton, talks a lot of sense on Cricket and the issues of Cricket, like his words on Robin Smith.
