yes I think I used to read a bit of David Frith when he wrote

for the Guardian or Wisden - its surprisingly old that book - a bit ahead of its time
There is something brutal about Cricket that causes some of these issues - so much of it is played in the head and the stakes when batting in particular are so s**t or bust that it is a minefield mentally.
