Perhaps he wasn't a strong enough character to question it and demand improvement. I'm sure Manning said in the summer he wouldn't have chosen a preseason like that if he'd had the choice. He should have done something about it.

I'm hoping Clement will be a lot more assertive on what goes on up at Colney and isn't afraid to question anything he's not happy with.
