With respect…

… there are procedures and conditions that professional athletes employed by a club have to, or should, follow. You cannot be privy to any of their fitness data (I know that’s a taboo word now, but it’s still relevant), so how can you glibly say “get the lad involved”? It’s not about babysitting, it’s about not making a bad situation worse.

More to the point, none of us gets a say, so let’s just see what happens.
