Yo!
Down Carrow Road where the Canaries flock,
Where the fans stay loud and the beats don’t stop,
There’s a squad in yellow, movin’ slick on the grass,
Twenty-two feet steppin’ — class on class!
Young Norrie Noggin in the stands like “Look!”
“They pass, they trick, they flick the whole book!
They chip it, they whip it, they rocket the ball —
You think they’re done? Nah — they score ’em all!”
⸻
Then BOOM, out the blue comes a parrot with style,
Green feathers poppin’ like he’s been wildin’ awhile.
Yellow scarf flappin’, got the swagger on blast,
He hops on the rail and starts rappin’ fast:
“Kick it! Trick it! Yo — never back down!
Spin it! Win it! We the kings of the town!
We the Canaries, baby — brightest in sight,
We peck out goals in the day and the night!”
⸻
Up the pitch, down the pitch — yo, keep that control,
Even when it’s rainin’ and you stuck in a bowl.
Boot it with welly, push on, stay strong —
“You’re Norwich City, kid — now sing that song!”
⸻
Now Norrie jumps in, whole crowd gets hype,
Carrow Road rumblin’, that pure NC vibe.
Singin’ for the city, the castle, the crew —
Even magpies cry when the yellows come through!
“Come on you Yellows — come run, come play!
Win it our way — the Canary way!
We’ll biff it, we’ll whiff it, we puzzle ’em all —
ON THE BALL, CITY — Old-School Football!”
⸻
Final whistle blows — fans clap, stands shake,
Norrie’s like “Daaamn, we just ran the whole league rake!”
Parrot hits a head-nod: “Yeah, that’s how we be —
That’s the Norwich… in the heart of me!”
They bounce from the stadium, scarf flyin’, skies sunny,
Two Norfolk birds makin’ noise — not money.
And if you stroll by the Wensum and hear a mad trill,
It’s that duo still spittin’ their Carrow Road skill:
“Kick it! Trick it! Yo — never give in!
Sing it! Swing it! Yellows always win!
If you hear that City chant, you get that chill —
ON THE BALL, CITY — AND ALWAYS WILL!”
