Sorry if WW2 (or rather WW1 Galllipoli) but Brett Emerton to AC Milan?

Italian scouts sent by Marcello Lippi to spy on the Socceroos reportedly came back with glowing reviews, so much so that the word in the Australian camp yesterday was that AC Milan is interested in Brett Emerton, who did not play because of suspension in the second-round match against Italy overnight.

Emerton, 27, has found it difficult at times to play regularly with Blackburn Rovers in the English Premiership after his $7.5m transfer from Dutch giant Feyenoord three years ago.
