like to think he would be outsourcing to a firm like odgers berndston (or even set up a temporary advisory panel with i dunno an experienced old manager like woy and neyul and timmykruls) in to provide a shortlist then he could pop over with his team and conduct some interviews in person. just feed in his requirements like short term fix just to stave of relegation then bring in a proper arsed sporting director to look after the 3-5 year plan.

you know, he could then take real ownership of the bastard thing instead of entrusting it all to a data driven rookie "sporting director".
