I use them to listen to stuff whilst sleeping so they take a battering and stand up pretty well. No noise cancelling which means the battery lasts a bit longer. Can go 2 or 3 nights without a charge.

When they inevitably break after a year JL just replace them. I've even had a new receipt in that time so only paid out for the original pair of wf500s I bought 4 years ago and JL keep replacing.
